The 9K52 Luna-M artillery rocket system is a Soviet-designed weapon system that was introduced in the early 1970s.

It was used by the Soviet Union and its allies during the Cold War and saw active service in a number of conflicts, including the Soviet War in Afghanistan.

The system consisted of a series of 9P113TEL transport erector launchers, each of which was equipped with a set of 9M21 rockets.

These rockets had a range of up to 70 km and were capable of delivering a variety of payloads, including conventional explosives, fragmentation warheads, and chemical agents.

The 9P113TEL launcher was mounted on the back of a specialized vehicle, which allowed it to be rapidly deployed and positioned for firing.

Once in position, the launcher would raise the rocket into a vertical position and fire it using a solid-fuel rocket motor.

The 9K52 Luna-M system was widely regarded as a highly effective weapon system, capable of delivering accurate and devastating firepower to targets at long ranges.

However, its use of chemical weapons and indiscriminate firing tactics made it a controversial weapon system, and it was eventually phased out of service in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
