The Boeing/Hughes AH-1W Super Cobra was a twin-engine attack helicopter used by the United States Marine Corps from the 1980s through the early 2000s.

An upgraded variant of the AH-1 Cobra, the Super Cobra featured improved avionics, enhanced survivability, and increased firepower.

Armed with a 20mm M197 three-barreled Gatling gun, it could also carry a variety of ordnance, including AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, Hydra 70 rocket pods, and AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.

Designed for close air support, anti-armor missions, and escort duties, the AH-1W provided critical aerial firepower for Marine ground forces.
