Tamiya 1/35 German MG Team Mid-WWII # 35386
Item 35038 1/35 German Machine Gun Troops has been popular among modellers for a long time since its release in 1974; now, Tamiya welcomes a companion set of German Machine Gun Troops recreated by cutting edge moulding technology.
During WWII, the German Army employed two types of machine guns – MG34 and MG42 – as the nucleus of their small arms.
These machine guns had powerful firepower and high firing speed.
Additionally, using folding tripod Lafette and the telephoto optical sight helped these machine guns worked at long range.
Attachment of loader magazine allowed firing by one soldier.
A machine gun team normally had from three to five soldiers: one pair (one gunner and one loader) and other soldiers who carry ammunition, spare gun barrels and tripod.
Their mission ranged from defence from enemies to support of troops.
