Designed Japanese artist Atsushi Arino and inspired by the full-size UTVs with its hybrid monocoque-roll cage and rear trailing arm suspension.
The BBX BB-01 1/10 scale radio-controlled assembly kit brings a thrilling driving experience to your fingertips.
Measuring 414mm long, 136mm tall, and 233mm wide with a 283mm wheelbase, this model is a scaled replica of a real-world utility vehicle. The 0.7mm thick polycarbonate body, meticulously crafted by renowned designer Atsushi Arino, features a three-piece construction to accurately capture the tapered lower profile of its full-size counterpart.
The foundation of this model is a newly engineered 2WD chassis incorporating a one-piece monocoque frame and integrated roll cage. This design not only enhances structural integrity but also allows for the seamless integration of realistic bodywork. Experience exhilarating performance with the BB-01 chassis, boasting innovative suspension systems. The front end utilizes double wishbone suspension with A-shaped arms, while the rear features trailing arm suspension with extended arms – both inspired by the suspension geometry of actual utility vehicles.

3-Piece Tie-Rod Steering
The steering uses a 3-piece tie-rod setup with hi-torque servo saver.
Note that a low-profile servo is required.


Aluminum Oil Dampers.
Front A-arms have a skid angle of 25 degrees, and are paired with aluminum oil dampers.


Ribbed Front Tires.
Plated wheels have a classic design, and are paired with ribbed front tires.

Rear wheels utilize square spike tires with a realistic high profile.


Lengthwise Battery Pack
The battery pack is positioned in the chassis center. Remove the nose cowl and a stopper pin to access it.


Easy Access Motor.
Remove screws to let the rear roll cage section flip up and give access to the motor.


Off Road Bumper Design
The front bumper is angled to help deal with tricky off-road surfaces.

A driver figure and cockpit side netting add another layer of realism.
Tamiya BBrilliance
This R/C model assembly kit is inspired by single-seater racing buggies popular worldwide. The slim chassis uses a lengthwise battery pack and rear-mounted, transverse motor, which ensures optimum weight balance and precise rigidity. The 4-wheel independent suspension has front double wishbones and rear trailing arm setups to allow for dynamic off-road performance. Fitting with safety nets, roll cage with light pods, six-piece body cowling featuring a long nose section and aluminum suspenion dampers.
Tamiya BB-01 Chassis
The BB-01 is a rear-wheel drive rc buggy chassis which features a hybrid lower deck-roll cage and suspension structure for a realistic look. The battery pack is lengthwise and the rear-mounted motor give the rear wheels plenty of traction, while the sealed gearbox has a built-in ball differential. The suspension has an A-shaped arm front double wishbone setup featuring a skid angle of 25 degrees, along with rear trailing arms for alignment adjustment, plus high-spec, high-quality aluminum aeration oil dampers for all four wheels. Tires up front are rib pattern tread for directional stability and to the rear square spikes for high grip, these are paired with front and rear metal-plated, hex-hub wheels. You can access the motor easily under the liftable rear roll cage section.
