The Zlín Z-43 is a Czechoslovak four-seat, single-engine utility aircraft developed in the 1960s by Moravan Otrokovice.

While originally designed for civilian training and touring, the Z-43 was also adapted for military roles, including liaison, observation, and light transport duties.

In its ambulance configuration, the Z-43 could be equipped to carry a stretcher and medical equipment, making it suitable for casualty evacuation and rural medical support in low-threat environments.

With its reliable airframe, good visibility, and short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance, the Z-43 proved effective for a variety of non-combat missions, particularly in Eastern Bloc and allied air forces during the Cold War era.
