The Mercedes-Benz W 196 R racing car, designed for the 1954 and 1955 Formula One seasons, met all the requirements for the new changes: an increased engine capacity of 750cc with or 2500cc without supercharger, free choice of fuel mixture, and a racing distance of 300 kilometres or a minimum of three hours.

This classic "silver arrow" was a masterpiece that won nine of twelve races entered between Argentine driver Juan Manuel Fangio ​and British Sterling Moss.

This model has been handcrafted and finished in our workshops with the utmost care. The use of an extremely accurate digital scan of the original car has enabled us to recreate every detail of the original model as closely as possible.
