The Ford GTB, popularly known as the "Burma Jeep", was a versatile 1.5-ton military cargo truck used extensively by Allied forces during World War II, particularly in the China-Burma-India Theater.

Produced by the Ford Motor Company between 1942 and 1945, this vehicle was specifically designed to navigate rugged terrain and harsh conditions, making it ideal for the demanding environments of Southeast Asia.

The Ford GTB featured a short wheelbase, high ground clearance, and a compact yet robust design, which allowed it to maneuver through narrow jungle paths and over rough landscapes.

Powered by a 226-cubic-inch (3.7-liter) inline-six engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the vehicle offered reliable performance in challenging conditions.

Its payload capacity and adaptability made it suitable for transporting troops, ammunition, and supplies, as well as serving specialized roles such as a bomb service truck.

Distinctive for its rugged appearance and functionality, the Ford GTB earned its "Burma Jeep" nickname due to its extensive use in the Burma Campaign.

It remains a symbol of the ingenuity and durability required for Allied success in remote theaters of war.
