The FV4101 Charioteer Mk.VIIA was a British tank destroyer developed in the 1950s by converting the Cromwell tank chassis.
Designed to provide enhanced firepower during the Cold War era, it was equipped with a powerful 20-pounder (84mm) gun, capable of engaging heavily armored targets.
The Charioteer retained the Cromwell's mobility, powered by a Rolls-Royce Meteor engine, but featured a new, larger turret to accommodate the upgraded weaponry.
Primarily used by export customers, it saw service with several nations and was valued for its combination of speed, firepower, and adaptability in post-war armored forces.
