The BTR-4E with Slat Armor (Mid Production) is a Ukrainian armored personnel carrier upgraded with additional slat armor for enhanced protection against rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs).
This mid-production variant retains the BTR-4E's core features, including its amphibious capabilities, powerful diesel engine, and modular design.
The slat armor provides an extra layer of defense by disrupting the detonation of shaped-charge warheads, increasing survivability in urban and close-quarters combat.
It is equipped with a remote-controlled weapon station, typically armed with a 30mm autocannon, a 7.62mm machine gun, and anti-tank missiles, making it a versatile vehicle for troop transport and battlefield support.
