The Nakajima B6N2 Model 12 Tenzan (meaning "Heavenly Mountain") was a carrier-based torpedo bomber used by the Imperial Japanese Navy during the later stages of World War II.

An improved version of the B6N1, the B6N2 featured a more reliable Nakajima NK7A Mamoru 11 radial engine, enhancing its performance and operational reliability.

Designed to replace the aging B5N 'Kate', the Tenzan had a sleeker profile, greater speed, and a heavier payload capacity, making it a formidable threat to Allied naval forces.

It was equipped with a Type 91 torpedo or bombs, and defensive armament included a rear 7.92 mm machine gun.

Despite its advanced design, the B6N2 struggled due to the diminishing number of experienced pilots and the loss of Japanese carrier capabilities.

Nevertheless, it saw action in several key battles, including the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
