The BAE Harrier GR.9 was an upgraded variant of the British Harrier jump jet, developed for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
It featured advanced avionics, improved weapons systems, and the ability to carry precision-guided munitions.
Based on the earlier GR.7, the GR.9 incorporated modern navigation and targeting systems, enhancing its ground-attack capabilities.
It retained the Harrier’s signature short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) capability, making it highly versatile for carrier and forward-base operations.
The GR.9 served until 2010, when the UK retired its Harrier fleet.
