The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D Vorpanzer was a variant of the German Panzer IV medium tank developed during World War II.

It featured additional armor plates, or "vorpanzer," attached to the front of the tank's hull to provide increased protection for the crew and vital components.

This additional armor made the tank more resistant to anti-tank weapons, such as bazookas and anti-tank guns, which were commonly used by enemy forces.

The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D Vorpanzer was produced in limited numbers and saw service on the Eastern Front, particularly during the Battle of Kursk in 1943.

Despite its improvements in armor protection, the Vorpanzer could not fully compensate for the aging design of the Panzer IV, which was gradually outclassed by more modern Allied tanks as the war progressed.
