Arma Hobby 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIA/B/C "Eastern Front" Deluxe Set # 70045
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIA/B/C "Eastern Front" variants were adaptations of the renowned British fighter aircraft specifically modified for combat operations on the Eastern Front during World War II.
These versions were equipped with enhancements tailored to the harsh conditions and unique challenges of combat against Axis forces in the Soviet Union.
Modifications included the installation of cold weather equipment, such as engine covers and cockpit heating systems, to ensure the aircraft could operate effectively in the extreme cold temperatures of the Eastern Front winters.
Additionally, armament configurations were adjusted to accommodate the tactical requirements of combat in the Eastern theater.
Despite the Hurricane's primary role as a fighter, its rugged design and adaptability made it well-suited for ground attack missions, providing close air support to Soviet troops battling German forces.
The Hurricane "Eastern Front" variants played a significant role in the defense of Soviet territory and contributed to the eventual defeat of the Axis powers in the Eastern theater of World War II.
